5 Puppeteers

1 Cargo Van

Load In

Load in will start promptly two hours before house opening. Please have all crew on call in the theater at

that time.

Parking

Please be sure that parking is available at our time of arrival. Due to our short load-in time we will need as

much time on stage as possible.
Lights

Crew

TWO STAGE HANDS are REQUIRED in the wings for Snow Queen. They will be placed stage left and

right and assist in handling scenery during the show. They are expected to be on hand for load-in and load-

out as well.

Lighting Script

A script will be supplied which follows the narration and major action of the show. The board operator

calls the lighting cues from the script.

Smoke

We use a Rosco 900 smoke machine at several points in the show. If your smoke detectors are VERY

sensitive, let us know and we will not use smoke during your performance.

Specials

Specials (26 degree or similar) from the 1st electric illuminate a free standing mirror center stage right and a

door center stage left. Another special from the 1st electric (36 degree or similar) will illuminate a tree set

upstage center. A multicolored banner is held across the entire stage from 8 to 12 feet above the floor (the

Northern Lights). Low front of house specials or 2 locked down follow spots can illuminate this

drape.Specials (26 degree or similar) from the 1st electric illuminate a free standing mirror center stage right

Washes

Four washes are desired: deep blue (R80 or similar), light blue (R65 or similar), red (R27 or similar), and a

warm wash (any unsaturated amber). The Snow Queen and the Devil are 11 feet tall and need to be lit all

the way up. If necessary, the two blue washes can be combined and light blue and deep blue can be

achieved by changing the intensity.
Sound

Microphone

A hand-held microphone will be needed for an onstage demonstration at the conclusion of the

performance.

Music

The Snow Queen is a narrated dance piece. A CD runs 47 minutes without interruption.
Scenery

Drapery

The stage must have masking: a black traveler or cyclorama upstage with a crossover and at least 2 legs

stage left and 2 legs stage right.

Overhead clearance

Our scenery (riding on wheels) is up to 11 feet 7 inches high. This is our absolute minimum overhead

clearance.

Stage Dimensions

Our minimum stage requirements are: 20 feet deep by 30 feet wide, not including wing space (see below).

Wing Space

We need 8 feet of wing space on each side. The scenery is rolled on and off stage from the wings on bases

30" from front to back. The Snow Queen and Devil are large puppets. The wings must therefore be clear

of obstructions.
Hospitality

Dressing Rooms

When we arrive, all dressing rooms should be ready for use. We need one room for men and one room for

women, equipped with chairs, mirrors, toilet, and running water.

Food

We absolutely must have drinkable water backstage.

We would also appreciate these provisions:

Coffee (decaf as well, if possible,) tea, fruit juice, water.

Bagels or other similar carbohydrates.
