| | arrival. |
| | Vehicles |
| | One maxi van |
| Lights |
| | Instruments Intro |
| | The show begins with an introduction to the instruments of the orchestra. The curtain will be opened to |
| | the 1/4 mark and we will be bringing 2 floor mounted lights that we will place stage left and right just |
| | behind the partially closed curtain. We will need a spare dimmer and cable to reach these positions. The |
| | effect is similar to a "Black Light" show where there is light only on the puppets. This scene lasts about 4 |
| | minutes, after which we will bring up the stage wash and open the curtain the rest of the way. |
| | Lighting Script |
| | We will be providing a script which includes all the text and major action of the show for the light board |
| | operator. He or she will be asked to follow this script and call light cues upon hearing the underlined text. |
| | There are less than 12 cues in the show. Please be sure to let us know if the light board operator will be |
| | unable to hear the soundtrack of the show so we can make other arrangements. |
| | Specials |
| | A tree drape (free standing on a pipe frame) will be set up just upstage of center and there is a lot of action |
| | around it, including at the top. It is 11 feet tall. If possible, two specials should be hung which can be |
| | focused during set up. |
| | There is a 5 foot tall fountain down stage left and a 4 foot tall gate down stage right. A special is needed |
| | for both these positions. All specials will be focused on arrival. |
| | Washes |
| | A warm wash and a cool wash are desired. If a third color is available, we will use a lavender wash as well. |
| | Please be sure to illuminate the entire stage to a height of 12 feet. Grandfather is 8 feet tall to begin with |
| | and he comes in on a bicycle, so it's 10 feet to the top of his head. |
| Sound |
| | Microphone |
| | A hand-held microphone is needed for our demonstration. The cable should allow the speaker to move |
| | freely about the downstage area. |
| | Music |
| | Two CDs are used that play through the entire show. There will be a CD change during a brief pause. |
| Scenery |
| | Scenery |
| | Our scenery is free-standing on the stage. Your crew will be asked to assist us in assembling and |
| | disassembling the scenery and loading in and out of the van. |
| | Stagehand |
| | We will need one stagehand backstage who will be asked to operate curtain and assist in the running of the |
| | show. |
| Hospitality |
| | Dressing Rooms |
| | When we arrive, all dressing rooms should be ready for use. We need one room for Men and one room for |
| | women, equiped with chairs, mirrors, toilet, and running water. |
| | Food |
| | Drinkable water we absolutely must have backstage. |
| | We would also appreciate these provisions: |
| | Coffee (decaf as well, if possible,) tea, fruit juice, water. |
| | Bagels or other similar carbohydrates. |
