Crew/Load In

One person is required in the wings, and you will need two others to operate lights and sound. These

three are expected to assist in loading and unloading the show and setting up scenery and puppets.

Vehicles

The show travels in a 15 passenger van pulling a 16 foot trailer. Please inform us if the combination will

be difficult to turn around or back into your loading dock.
Lights

Footlights

The lighting design calls for footlights in the style of a vaudeville review. These can be achieved by placing

strip lights colored red, blue, and white at the front of the stage. If these are not available, please let us

know.

Lighting the Puppets

The T Rex puppet is approximately 13 feet tall and the Terydactyl flies in the air as well to a similar

height. Please be sure that your washes are focused so they can be lit all the way up. The washes can hit

the back curtain when you focus them because we will be putting our sets directly in front of it.

Specials

A special (50 degree or two 36 degrees from 1st electric or front of house)needs to hit the volcano painted

on a 16'X12' drape upstage center. Another one illuminates the extreme downstage right corner for the

babies scene and the extreme downstage left corner for another rock and the signs indicating the time

periods. Both of these need to come from the front of house and must be on separate channels.

Washes

3 washes are desired, a red wash, a blue wash, and a no-color pink wash. We will also need lavender high

side light (R54 or similar) for the flying scenes.
Sound

Sound

The entire 54 minute performance runs on one CD. We will need two onstage monitors in the downstage

corners. If you let us know that your system is not working, we will bring our own sound system to play

the music and handle the microphone input (see Wireless Mic).

Wireless Mic

One performer uses a wireless headset-style mic throughout the show. We will bring a microphone and

receiver (with a backup mic) that can be patched into your system (XLR or 1/4 inch).
Scenery

Drapery

There are 5 drapes in the show that need to be hung on tie lines from pipes from the fly space or ceiling.

The Volcano (16'X12') is hung upstage center just in front of the downstage blackout curtain. The other 4

drapes (2@5'X9 1/2', 2@5'X11') will be attached to the theater's legs to help amplify the wing space.

Smoke Machine

We will use a Rosco 900 smoke machine to produce smoke that emerges from the top of the volcano

upstage center at a height of 12 feet. The smoke machine we use has never set off a fire alarm in the past

10 years we have used it, but please be advised that there will be a smoke effect during the show.

Stage Requirements

Our minimum stage requirements are:

25 feet deep by 35 feet wide. If more space is available, we will perform on the maximum lit area.

Wing Space

10 feet of wing space on each side of the stage is an absolute requirement for Mammoth Follies. We need

to store our puppets offstage so we can get into and out of them and enter the stage.

Wing space lighting

There are no complete blackouts in the show, and we need adequate lighting in the wings to see the props

and puppets. If no scoop lamps or music stand lights are available, we will need you to hang an

instrument that shines into the wings on both sides.
Hospitality

Dressing areas

Please let us know if your space does not include dressing areas for 6 performers so we can make

alternative arrangements.

Food/Drink

Drinkable water is a necessity. We would also appreciate the following provisions backstage: Bagels or

other similar carbohydrates, coffee & tea, juice, and fresh fruit.
