| Travel |
| | Company |
| | 4 Puppeteers |
| | 1 Cargo Van |
| | Load In |
| | Load in will start promptly two hours before house opening. Please have all crew on call in the theater at |
| | that time. We will need help in putting together scenery first then set up puppets, check sound levels and |
| | focus lights simultaneously. |
| | Parking |
| | Please be sure that parking is available at our time of arrival. Due to our short load-in time we will need as |
| | much time on stage as possible. |
| Lights |
| | Crew |
| | ONE STAGE HAND is REQUIRED in the wings for Silly Jelly. He or she needs to be available to assist |
| | in handling scenery during the show. They are expected to be on hand for load-in and load-out as well. |
| | Presenter needs to provide an operator for lights and sound (can be the same person if the theater's |
| | configuration allows). |
| | Lighting Script |
| | A script will be supplied which follows the narration and major action of the show. The theater's light |
| | board operator brings up the lighting cues when the cue lines (marked in bold type) come up in the script. |
| | Specials |
| | A small downpool (26 degree or similar) at center/center is desired for the Jellyfish transformation scene. |
| | Another special should be available on the second electric at stage right to focus center stage right for a |
| | "Parrot" special. Another special needs to illuminate the whale's head during his initial entrance from |
| | behind the second leg stage right. This special should hang from the first electric. The whale comes out to |
| | about 1/4 stage right and is 7 feet tall. We also will provide a Rosco Bubble Machine that will hang from a |
| | batten over center/center. |
| Technical Rider |
| | Washes |
| | Several looks are desired. They must be hung and focused before we arrive at the theater if they are to be |
| | used. |
| | Underwater Blue Wash: R80 down wash, R65 front wash (or similar colors) |
| | Deep Underwater Wash: R56 down wash (or similar saturated violet) |
| | Kelp Forest: R95 down wash (or similar deep teal green) |
| | Close to the surface: Break-up template wash with r80 down wash |
| | Bright Wedding: R33 front and down wash (or similar pink) |
| | Land: Down and front washes in any bright amber |
| | The Dragons are 9 feet tall and need to be lit all the way up. It is not necessary to cut off the washes off |
| | the back curtain because we will be putting up our own scenery that needs to be lit as well. |
| Sound |
| | Music |
| | Under the Sea with Silly Jellyfish is a spoken dialogue piece with dances and songs. The CD runs 55 |
| | minutes without interruption. If time allows, we may use a microphone on stage for a demonstration. |
| Scenery |
| | Drapery |
| | The stage must have masking: a black traveler or cyclorama upstage with a crossover and at least 2 legs |
| | stage left and 2 legs stage right. We will be putting up 3 9'X9' drapes on wheels and 2 4'X9' drapes that |
| | will show a coral reef backdrop on one side and turn around to reveal a land backdrop on the other. |
| | Rigging |
| | Three pulleys need to be rigged to a batten upstage of the centerstage or downstage border. Lightweight |
| | umbrellas and tie line will be attached to the pulleys and will run to the deck on stage right. |
| | Stage Dimensions |
| | Our minimum stage requirements are: 20 feet deep by 35 feet wide. |
| | Wing Space |
| | The scenery is rolled on and off stage from the wings on bases 30" X 50" wide. The whale is a rolling |
| | drape 40 feet long and 7 feet tall on 5 rolling bases accordioned in the wings. It crosses the stage and exits |
| | into the wings on the opposite side. The Dragon and She-Dragon are large puppets. The wings must |
| | therefore be clear of obstructions. |
| Hospitality |
| | Dressing Rooms |
| | When we arrive, all dressing rooms should be ready for use. We need one room for Men and one room for |
| | women, equipped with chairs, mirrors, toilet, and running water. |
| | Food |
| | Drinkable water we absolutely must have backstage. |
| | We would also appreciate these provisions for a cast of 4 performers: |
| | Coffee (decaf as well, if possible,) tea, fruit juice, water. |
| | Bagels or other similar carbohydrates. |
