| | Load In |
| | Load in will start promptly two hours before house opening. Please have all crew on call in the theater at |
| | that time. |
| | Parking |
| | Please be sure that parking is available at our time of arrival. If we will need a permit, please send it to us |
| | in advance if possible, so as not to delay the load-in. |
| Lights |
| | Crew |
| | At least one stage hand will be needed backstage to assist in handling scenery during the show. He or she |
| | are expected to be on hand for load-in and load-out as well. If no running crew is available, please let us |
| | know so we can make other arrangements. It is possible for one person to operate both sound and lights if |
| | the theater allows them to be controlled from the same area. (See notes below) |
| | Lighting Script |
| | A script will be supplied which follows the narration and major action of the show. The board operator |
| | calls the lighting cues from cues indicated on the script. |
| | Specials |
| | Specials illuminate a our drapes at the stage right (Farmyard) and left (Fox's Hovel) positions adjacent to |
| | the second leg. Another special should illuminate the Forest backdrop upstage center. A scene occurs |
| | above the forest drape at a height of 8 to 12 feet above the floor (Flying Special). A special is used to |
| | illuminate the stump downstage right (at the quarter mark) and the nest midstage left (outside of quarter.) |
| | A wide center pool is needed for the "Banner Skit". |
| | Washes |
| | The following "looks" are desired. |
| | Preset:Blue with patterns & warm on "Forest" Backdrop |
| | Farmyard Brite: Warm wash with Farm Set Stage Right |
| | Flying: Blue stage with special above "Forest" Backdrop. |
| | Woods: Patterns on floor, high side light |
| | Fierce Bad Rabbit: Morning brite with specials pointing at sides of "Forest:" Backdrop (Rabbit Holes) |
| Sound |
| | Microphone |
| | A hand-held microphone will be needed for an onstage demonstration at the conclusion of the |
| | performance. |
| | Music |
| | The Tales of Beatrix Potter is a narrated dance piece. We use two CDs: The Tale of Jemima Puddleduck |
| | (35 minutes) and The Story of a Fierce Bad Rabbit (13 minutes). There is a 3 minute skit between stories. |
| | Sound operator will need to begin the second tape on cue and control sound in the house during the |
| | demonstration. |
| Scenery |
| | Drapery |
| | We expect the stage to have masking: a black traveler upstage with a crossover and at least 2 legs stage left |
| | and 2 legs stage right. If your theater does not meet these requirements, please notify us so we can make |
| | special arrangements. |
| | Sets |
| | Our sets are assembled in the two hours prior to the house opening. They consist of three drapes 8 feet |
| | wide and 8 feet tall riding on rolling bases 27" wide. Several smaller pieces of scenery are also assembled |
| | prior to the performance. |
| | Stage Dimensions |
| | Our minimum stage requirements are: 17 feet deep by 30 feet wide. |
| | Wing Space |
| | Two of our sets are rolled on and off stage from the wings on bases 24" wide. The wings must therefore be |
| | clear of obstructions. |
| Hospitality |
| | Dressing Rooms |
| | When we arrive, all dressing rooms should be ready for use. We need one dressing room, equiped with |
| | chairs, mirrors, toilet, and running water. |
| | Food |
| | Drinkable water we absolutely must have backstage. |
| | We would also appreciate these provisions: |
| | Coffee (decaf as well, if possible,) tea, fruit juice, water. |
| | Bagels or other similar carbohydrates. |
